Mike Hughes Music

Mike Hughes is an emerging composer, songwriter, producer and sound engineer. Although he is skilled in several fields, his main passion lies in composing and producing music independently, primarily for use in media. 

Currently studying Commercial Music Production at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati Ohio, Hughes has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists of many different backgrounds and skill sets, expanding his musical palette and building experience.

Hughes has been fascinated with music his whole life, beginning with an illustrated musical encyclopedia he received for his second  birthday. After finding the spark to his passion, he's been playing and writing music nonstop, with well over 100 musical pieces to his name. 

Though Mike is pursuing a career in production and composition, he is also a well established performer, playing trombone and piano with the Standard Jazz Trio, CCM's lab band, and numerous studio recordings.

Mike Hughes cites inspiration from many different styles, which is the reason for his diverse compositions. Such artists include Hans Zimmer, Damon Albarn, Adam Young, Avicii, Beirut, Caravan Palace, and Daft Punk. 

Moving forward, Hughes plans to expand his client base and work on larger scale productions. With the potential for a new studio in LA, he has high hopes and will be making a big name for himself in upcoming years.
